Breaking News: Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh admitted to the hospital

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London as a precaution on his doctor’s advice during the evening of Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He had been feeling unwell for a few days and is expected to be in the hospital for a few days of observation and rest. Queen Elizabeth remains at Windsor Castle.
He was born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark at Mon Repos, formerly the summer residence of the Greek Royal Family, on the Greek island of Corfu on June 10, 1921. His parents were Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark, son of King George I of Greece who was born Prince Vilhelm of Denmark, and Princess Alice of Battenberg, a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Prince Philip’s 100th birthday is this June.
